Expecting

We three are soon to become four. Well, kind of soon anyway.

Expecting...

Number 2 is due on May 8th, 2010.

I think the first trimester sleepiness may have had a lot to do with this lethargy.

Excited, but nervous.  Hope I can handle two little crazies!

A little bit of the 80s

A few weeks ago I went to a church garage sale and picked up (amongst a couple of other things) a fabric sampler which I think must be from the 80s.

A fabric sampler

Today in a celebration of 80s goodness, I turned some of the samples into a new pair of bloomers for Matilda.  While Matilda and I tried to dance like this...

She may need a fergie bow to go with.

My other goodies..

Goodies from a church garage sale

I also should have bought a nice set of old solid wood drawers but I decided to ask about them once I'd done the rounds of the inside hall... when I came back a lady was buying them for $20. Silly me.

This weekend...

In a rut!

I can't believe that it's been almost a month since I've done a post.

I have been in a complete rut lately.  You know the feeling when there is too much going on and too many things that need your attention and it feels so big that you don't know where to start, so you just don't start?  Well, that's where I have been lately.

Painting at our play group

There are lots of fun and crafty things I've been wanting to get to, but I don't feel like I can until I have got a few real life things sorted out... nothing major.  Just the same old stuff - my house is a complete mess, I need to organise for a couple of things to be done around the house, a couple of catering jobs.  But I feel like I haven't been able to deal with all that stuff and I can't get on to the fun stuff.

Ready for swimming lessons

I can feel myself slowly coming out of my little funk though.  I've actually got a few things done in the past week, like folding and putting away an entire spare bedrooms worth of laundry, I've enrolled Matilda in kindergarten (she doesn't start until 2013 and I already have to enrol her!!), we've started swimming lessons and our little playgroup is still kicking along.  Plus we've had some interstate visitors to play with.  Things are looking up!  Even the house is *almost* tidy and clean.  So from now on.. more fun stuff and more regular posts.

And there's always the pretty sweet peas from the garden if nothing else.
